The Dutch Roundtable on Financial Access for NPOs was established in 2017 and is co-convened by Human Security Collective (HSC), the Ministry of Finance and the Dutch Banking Association (NVB) to address issues related to de-risking by banks and payment service providers that have made it difficult for NPOs to access financial services. The roundtable brings together key stakeholders to promote financial inclusion for NPOs and ensure that they can continue to carry out their important work.

One of the practical solutions that the roundtable has led to is the creation of a portal for NPOs by ABN AMRO bank, in collaboration with HSC and others. The portal helps NPOs understand their risks as perceived by the bank, facilitating onboarding and transfer processes from a due diligence perspective.
