Launch of The Peace Project

SHARE

Last year marked the launch of The Peace Project, an 8-year initiative led by Mensen met een Missie, aimed at transforming harmful convictions, fostering cohesive connections, and promoting conducive conditions for peace in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Uganda, and South Sudan.

As part of this effort, Human Security Collective is strengthening the capacities of partners and stakeholders in human security, conflict sensitivity & analysis, and advocacy, ensuring that local perspectives inform peacebuilding efforts at every level.

In January and April, HSC facilitated workshops in Goma, Bukavu, and Bujumbura, with Congolese and Burundian partners. Participants were equipped with practical tools for conflict analysis and engaged in discussions on root causes, dynamics, and conflict sensitivity. These sessions helped lay the foundation for more collective, effective, and reflective interventions in the region.
